Marginal Capacity Monetization
When a business over-invests in an asset (such as computing power, logistics networks, or manufacturing capacity) to serve its core operations, it creates excess marginal capacity. The optimal strategy is to resell this excess capacity to the market, thereby amortizing fixed investment costs, improving overall capital efficiency, and transforming it into a new revenue stream.
