Lag Effect of Structural Reform
Market-oriented reforms do not produce immediate economic growth effects. Instead, they work gradually through mechanisms such as institutional adjustment, productivity gains, and capital reallocation over extended periods. In the short term, friction costs may even create negative effects, but cumulative benefits only become observable in the medium to long term.
