Verifiable Delegation of Authority
When an entity (person or system) grants decision-making or action authority to another entity (AI agent), cryptographic and institutional mechanisms must ensure: (1) the authorization originates from a legitimate delegator, (2) the agent's actions remain within the original scope of authority, and (3) any unauthorized or anomalous actions can be traced and verified. This represents a fundamental challenge extending from traditional agency frameworks into the era of autonomous AI.
