Hidden Control
The gradual erosion of a competitor's or target company's sovereignty through indirect channels—legal frameworks, capital structures, brand perception—leaving them nominally independent while functionally subordinate. Unlike overt acquisition, hidden control is a prolonged, covert, and difficult-to-counter form of power consolidation.
