Efficiency Paradox
A situation where technological investments deliver measurable efficiency gains at the operational level (workflows, processes, unit costs), yet fail to produce corresponding improvements at the business level (revenue, profit, shareholder returns). The root cause lies in efficiency gains being absorbed by organizational inertia, loss of pricing power, or rigid cost structures, rather than being translated into value creation at the business model level.
