Information Asymmetry Collapse in Competition
When information barriers between competitors are breached—through employee mobility, insider leaks, reverse engineering, or similar means—competitive advantages built on proprietary secrets rapidly devalue. The disadvantaged firm must then choose between litigation, accelerated innovation, or accepting market restructuring. This represents a fundamental paradox of capitalist competition.
