Trust Intermediation Paradox
When a system concentrates trust in a single intermediary to reduce transaction costs, that intermediary's security vulnerabilities become amplified into systemic risks. The more convenient the intermediary, the more it becomes an attractive high-leverage attack vector for adversaries.
