Order of Magnitude Cognitive Breakdown
Human intuition collapses when processing numbers that exceed everyday experience by 3-4 orders of magnitude. Even though the mathematical differences between vastly large numbers—such as millions, billions, and trillions—are logically clear, our mental models flatten them into an undifferentiated "very large," distorting decision-making and value judgments.
