The Mechanization of Judgment Paradox
When a domain's value shifts from finding the correct answer to demonstrating sound reasoning, machines can learn how to reason but lose understanding of why that reasoning matters. Paradoxically, in high-ambiguity, multi-dimensional judgment domains, machine outputs may be more rigorous than human counterparts because machines have no conflicting interests—only logical consistency.
