Anchoring Bias
The tendency to rely too heavily on an initial piece of information (the anchor) when making estimates or judgments, even when that information is irrelevant or explicitly stated as random. People use the anchor as a reference point and make only partial adjustments from it, resulting in judgments that systematically deviate from the true value.
